DFT film scanning developers has a new Managing Director Gunter Weidlich, formerly a founding DFT MD involved in developing the Spirit Classic, Spirit 4K and Scanity.
Digital Film Technology (DFT) film scanning developers has a new Managing Director Gunter Weidlich, appointed by the company’s owner Prasad Corp, which specialises in film preservation, digitization and restoration.
DFT has been an active contributor to film scanning systems for over 75 years. It has been helping to advance film post-production, archives and restoration methods with an innovative, effective range of products and services.
Gunter Weidlich joins the company with more than three decades of experience in managing development, operations and support for media and broadcast vendors. Further background in electro-mechanical manufacturing includes more than a decade of leadership in the production of film scanners and image processing software.

He was, in fact, one of DFT’s founding managing directors in 2012, having been involved with products such as Spirit Classic, Spirit 4K and Scanity.
