Ross Video’s new SDI routing platform, NRG, simplifies live production with a straightforward interface and systems integration, UHD support and an optional software-based Multiviewer.

Ross nrg2

Ross Video’s new SDI routing platform, NRG, is designed to simplify live production workflows with a straightforward interface and integration into existing systems, UHD signal support and an optional software-enabled Multiviewer. NRG is focussed on reliability at an affordable price, working as a set-and-forget routing system for teams that need confidence and simplicity in live production.

It handles high-performance routing with reclocking on all inputs and outputs, redundant power and an optional multiviewer to save space and time spent on workflow design. Factors associated with set-up – training, downtime and managing complexity – are kept to a minimum owing to quick integration and simple configuration, and operation is eased with a web-based interface and optional control panels.

NRG can be configured with Ross’ free DashBoard control, which quickly integrates the platform into existing infrastructure. DashBoard is used to unify equipment control and monitoring into custom interfaces and program workflows. Users can create highly customized control and monitoring interfaces for very specific tasks, securing them for use only by specific people, and build logical workflows to control all the devices in a system – without writing any code.

NRG already includes support for UHD signals, aiming to make it useful in future installations. Its optional software-enabled multiviewer is another unusual feature that allows direct source monitoring with UMDs to help teams control costs and keep design simple.

NRG introduced at IBC 2025 alongwith its Ultrix hyperconverged [multifunctional] routing, robotics and camera motion systems. www.rossvideo.com
