Through interoperability with DataMiner, Media Links expands access to Xscend simplifylng efficient monitoring, control and coordination across diverse network infrastructures.

Media Links has integrated its Xscend platform with Skyline Communications' DataMiner xOps platform. xOps brings DevOps, DevSecOps, AIOps and MLOps together. It links the critical components of development, deployment and maintenance in order to monitor and maintain media processing, and also accesses the power of AI so that automation of these cycles is accurate and repeatable. Trying to reduce system development workflows, iXOps tools like DataMiner intends to deliver software or applications faster, while preserving quality.
Skyline’s integration project with Media Links allows Xscend systems to be monitored and managed within DataMiner environments, giving operators visibility and management throughout their transport infrastructure, alongside other network elements.
As media and telecom networks continue to evolve, more operators now prefer to adopt layered management architectures that combine vendor-specific element managers with high-level orchestration platforms to manage complex and distributed workflows.
"Media Links develops and delivers a complete, robust transport solution, including control and management," said John Dale, CMO at Media Links. "At the same time, we recognise that many of our customers operate in multi-vendor environments and rely on platforms like DataMiner for centralised visibility and orchestration. This integration makes it easier to bring Xscend into those existing workflows and align with how networks are managed today."
Interoperable IP Media Transport
By enabling interoperability with DataMiner, Media Links expands the accessibility of Xscend across a large global installed base. This access simplifies deployment and facilitates more efficient monitoring, control and coordination across diverse network infrastructures.

The Media Links Xscend IP media transport platform carries video, audio and data across wide area networks, reliably and with low latency. Built for live production, remote workflows and large-scale contribution environments, Xscend combines high-capacity transport with features such as hitless protection switching, which transmits two identical packet streams over two separate network paths to make sure at least one copy of each packet reaches the receiver, producing an error-free output.
The flexible Xscend architecture alongside ProMD EMS, Media Links' element management system, allows it to integrate directly into modern IP-based infrastructures, supporting both centralised and distributed operational models.
Bridging Infrastructure
"For our users, the DataMiner operating system manages complex operational ecosystems. Platforms are converging, media companies need to prepare themselves for the GenAI era, and time to value has become more important than ever," said Thomas Gunkel, Market Director Broadcast at Skyline Communications.
"To make this transition a success, the foundation needs to be right first, which is exactly what we have done by integrating Media Links' Xscend platform into DataMiner, to help users managing high-performance IP transport within a unified operational environment today, while preparing for an AI-driven intelligence and autonomous era in the future."
DataMiner bridges complex infrastructure and automated intelligence across critical ecosystems including telecom networks, satellite operations, broadcast platforms, utility grids and smart infrastructures. It unifies diverse data sources and controls, creating a real-time digital twin for AI-powered monitoring, analytics, automation and orchestration.
The platform is made up of customisable applications supported by an active global DevOps community. Its combination of visibility, intelligence and scalability accelerates digital transformation and gives organisations the means to operate as agile, data-driven teams able to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Currently deployed in over 125 countries worldwide, DataMiner is integrated with 9,000 products across 1,000 technology vendors.
