wTVision expands its R³ Engine and graphics ecosystem through integration with Matrox Video broadcast I/O infrastructure for turnkey graphics workflows.

Through integration with Matrox Video, wTVision is expanding opportunities to deploy its R³ Engine renderer and News & Media Graphics workflows on infrastructure that is recognised and in use at broadcasters around the world.
wTVision's rendering engines and graphics solutions are diverse and range from newsroom workflows to sports, elections and Virtual Set systems, LED Graphics workflows and AR environments. This integration makes it possible to deploy their tools as integrated systems using Matrox Video I/O cards. The goal is a robust, high-performance system that ensures predictable output of consistent quality, compatibility with multiple formats and broadcast-level reliability across SDI and evolving ST 2110 environments.
The Matrox DSX SDK brings the low latency and stability needed to process graphics in live broadcast environments. Its high performance video buffer handling prevents dropped frames and glitches. It is also complete, so that users can avoid the instability associated with supporting multiple SDKs.

DSX SDK has a prototyping tool, Topology Builder, for testing ideas before writing any code, and comes with a huge set of sample applications supplied with source-code – users can model their own code while shortening development time and testing. The built-in system clocking and time stamping mechanisms assure control of all components with very fine granularity. This helps to maintain synchronisation and frame accuracy, even in complex real-time applications.
For users, the SDK’s advantage is a capable graphics ecosystem, optimised for Matrox Video hardware that works as a foundation for scalable, high-resolution, low-latency productions, now and into the future. Also, by enabling wTVision and its channel partner network to deliver complete graphics solutions built on Matrox Video cards, the integration has the potential to open new market opportunities.
"Our purpose is to give media organisations full creative and operational control," said Alex Roriz, SVP, Solution-Market Strategy & Global Partnerships at wTVision. "By running our R³ Engine on Matrox Video's trusted input/output video cards, we are reinforcing performance at the hardware level while expanding opportunities for joint business growth. This relationship strengthens the wTVision ecosystem and delivers greater flexibility and confidence to our customers."
Vice-President, Sales and Business Development at Matrox Video Francesco Scartozzi said, "We are pleased to welcome wTVision to the Matrox Video OEM family. By building their turnkey graphics solutions with our SDK – proven in the broadcast industry for over three decades – and our board technology, wTVision is in a good position to succeed in today's evolving market." www.wtvision.com
