At ISE 2025, Grass Valley plans to demonstrate how organizations in the live events, sports, houses of worship, corporate and education sectors are using the GV Media Universe and its AMPP platform.
With a 65-year heritage in developing tools and systems for the media and broadcast industry, Grass Valley is changing media production by making advanced broadcast technology accessible to all content creators, regardless of size or budget. Grass Valley’s innovations, such as the AMPP platform, are helping a much wider range of organizations improve and modernise their production values.
AMPP Platform and Ecosystem
AMPP is Grass Valley’s microservices-based media production platform, used to build efficient, flexible production workflows for live content creation, management and distribution. The platform became the operations hub for production at the G20 Summit, 2024 RallyX Championship and the Global Leadership Summit. AMPP also supports cloud production capabilities for companies like Gfinity, Electronic Arts Competitive Gaming Entertainment and Corrivium.
“AMPP has become a basis for live production on a global scale – from local sporting events to major international programming for Tier 1 media brands – for customers who need to reduce operational costs, gain flexibility and drive new revenue streams,” said Jon Wilson, Grass Valley President and COO.
Use of AMPP now exceeds 10 million hours per month. For Grass Valley, AMPP’s rapid increase in adoption over the last 12 months is an example how users are taking advantage of software-defined workflows that are flexible, scalable, efficient and affordable.
Products like Framelight X asset management and Playout X systems – deployed for the G20 Summit and DMC Rally X projects – have carried this momentum, creating cost efficiencies for customers. So too have deployments of Grass Valley’s LDX Series cameras (deployed on country music artist Morgan Wallen’s One Night at a Time tour), Creative Grading system, and suite of live production tools. All of these are being demonstrated on Grass Valley’s stand at ISE 2025.
New Media Systems Everywhere
Grass Valley’s strategic partnerships with AV developers and suppliers such as Diversified, ES Broadcast and Arabsat are another part of the company’s efforts to innovate and extend their products for a diverse mix of customers.
Grass Valley Executive Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez Jr said, “Broadcast-grade production technology is no longer the preserve of traditional broadcasters and TV networks. Access to media production equipment is now within the reach of many types and levels of organizations, a transformation that technology providers such as Grass Valley have been instrumental in enabling.”
Louis will explore these themes during his keynote session at ISE 2025’s AV Broadcast Summit on Wednesday 5 February as he demonstrates how Grass Valley systems are enabling a new group of media publishers to deliver high-quality productions.
“The ongoing accessibility of media solutions will see accelerating deployments of technology in non-traditional broadcast environments such as corporate, education, and houses of worship, as well as giving operators working in sports, live events and esports new production and streaming capabilities,” he said.
Grass Valley believes that, for organizations from all these sectors, access to agile, simple affordable media production solutions is now within much easier reach than in the past
At ISE in Barcelona
“ISE has become the show where inter-connected technologies from peer industries such as M&E, pro AV, pro audio and CE come together on the same show floor,” said Jon Wilson. “We’re looking forward to meeting our partners and existing and new customers at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via from 4 - 7 February, as we show what the Grass Valley Media Universe has to offer to the AV community.”
Grass Valley is exhibiting its complete lineup for the corporate, education, houses of worship, live event and sports sectors, including the high performance LDX range of cameras, bundled software-based applications for live event production (Live Producer X/Event Producer X), and the AMPP ecosystem. www.grassvalley.com
