The Premiere Plugin synchronises Premiere Pro’s project panel bin with Moments Lab's Hub, making their MXT-1.5 multimodal AI engine for video search, available to Premiere editors.
AI and video search company Moments Lab has developed a plugin for the Adobe Premiere Pro NLE that gives users direct access the Moments Lab Cloud Media Hub, while they are working within the Premiere Pro interface. Editors can use the plugin to quickly access, locate and clip the relevant moments, identified by AI, in their footage without needing to switch screens or download and re-upload files.
The new Premiere Pro Plugin establishes a comprehensive sync between Premiere Pro’s project panel bin and Moments Lab's Hub, and makes their MXT-1.5 multimodal (understanding text, images, audio and others) AI engine for video search, available to Premiere editors. With MXT-1.5, editors can access AI-generated editorial information about their recent or archived videos. This information can include summaries, breakdowns of key sequences and quotes, in order to quickly represent video content in a shorter form for viewers who are not prepared to watch it in its entirety.
“Editors lose time when they need to switch between interfaces to source the clips they need to build a rough cut,” said Philippe Petitpont, co-founder and CEO of Moments Lab. “The Moments Lab Premiere Pro plugin gives editorial and creative teams a 360-degree view of their content in the Cloud Media Hub, visualising the range of story possibilities, without leaving Premiere or needing to watch the footage in full.
“With this panel, users will be able to take the desired clips from Moments Lab to the project panel bin and to their timeline in a few minutes. Currently our team is working on a new workflow that will enable content producers to build a rough cut even faster.”
Moments Lab will show the plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro, with its multimodal AI and cloud-based products at IBC2024 at the Amsterdam RAI, 13-16 September. www.momentslab.com
