RTW, Germany’s audio metering and monitoring specialist, has developed TouchMonitor 5 in two distinct versions, achieving full compatibility with either Dante or RAVENNA/AES67/ST 2110 networked audio protocols. This approach gives professional users tailored metering set-ups that integrate directly into their preferred networked audio environments.
“The TouchMonitor 5’s dual-product approach with dedicated Dante and RAVENNA versions caters to the diverse needs of modern audio professionals,” said Thomas Valter, Director of Product Management at RTW. “Users can now select the version that best integrates with their specific workflow, without compromising on performance or flexibility.”
For both network protocols, TouchMonitor 5 delivers precision metering tools that are compliant with global loudness standards and professional delivery specifications. They support stereo, surround and immersive formats including 5.1 and 7.1.4.
TouchMonitor features dialogue-gated measurement, ensuring compliance with dialogue-based specifications that, for example, adhere to Netflix delivery standards. Monitoring up to 16 audio channels, its functions include an Audio Vectorscope and Phase Correlation Meter, and a chart instrument for measurement and display of loudness over time.
The TouchMonitor’s user interface can be customised with adaptable layouts and tools to suit individual preferences. Its compact 5-inch design combines a small footprint with a high-resolution capacitive touchscreen for easier control.
The TouchMonitor 5 caters to diverse professional use cases. Within broadcast environments, it ensures compliance with loudness regulations while taking advantage of networked audio integration. In Post-Production, it gives Access to detailed immersive metering and analysis in networked environments. For radio applications, users have precise, low-latency monitoring in a compact design, complete with tools for ensuring optimal mono compatibility. www.rtw.com
