Yellowbrick Data supports Red Hat's OpenShift platform allowing users to run Yellowbrick with other applications on OpenShift for workload mobility across hybrid cloud environments.
Yellowbrick Data, the SQL Data Platform for data warehousing and real-time analytics, announced the expansion of its collaboration with Red Hat open-source solutions provider, by formally supporting Red Hat's OpenShift platform. Now, businesses can run Yellowbrick alongside other applications on OpenShift to deliver workload mobility across hybrid cloud environments.
"By integrating Red Hat OpenShift and the Yellowbrick Data Platform, customers can manage workloads across on-premises and cloud deployments, empowering them to optimize for performance, cost and security without the complexity of traditional multi-cloud operations," said Mark Cusack, CTO of Yellowbrick.
With Red Hat OpenShift, the industry's hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes, Yellowbrick enables data warehousing, application and streaming analytics in public cloud, on-premises and edge environments.
"Red Hat OpenShift serves as a more consistent, flexible platform for organizations to deploy workloads across on-premises, cloud and edge environments," said Kirsten Newcomer, senior director, Product Management, Hybrid Cloud Platforms, Red Hat. "We are pleased to collaborate with Yellowbrick to deliver a solution that enhances customization and optimization so organizations can adjust their data investments as needed."
The main benefits of the Yellowbrick Data platform with Red Hat OpenShift include data warehousing and real-time analytics. The Yellowbrick Direct Data Accelerator system enables petabyte-scale analytics with low latency and high concurrency.
Users can also manage workloads across multiple environments – public cloud, on-premises or at the edge – to meet data residency requirements, as the Yellowbrick Data Platform runs wherever Red Hat OpenShift operates. Furthermore, Yellowbrick's elastic architecture with separate storage and compute allows customers to dynamically provision and scale compute clusters to meet workload demands.
"Yellowbrick's OpenShift support gives organizations the flexibility to deploy on private as well as on public and hybrid clouds while maintaining the high-quality engineering characteristics of their SQL platform," said Eric Newcomer, Principal Analyst at Intellyx. "OpenShift extends Yellowbrick's flexibility for running AI workloads, real-time analytics, and data warehousing with the same cost effective high-performance and security characteristics wherever their customers need to run them now and, in the future."
The integration of Red Hat OpenShift builds on Yellowbrick's experience in supplying a cost-efficient and high-performance data platform, particularly for enterprises with stringent data residency and security requirements. yellowbrick.com
