Long-term LiveU user ANI has now standardised on LiveU technology, to support consistent performance, rapid deployment and resilience regardless of geography or network conditions.
ANI (Asian News International), as India's primary news agency and a major content provider across the Asia‑Pacific region, needs to deliver fast, reliable, broadcast‑quality live coverage at scale, even in challenging and diverse environments, enabling high‑volume continuous news operations across metropolitan centres and remote locations.
ANI has been a LiveU customer for over 15 years. The two companies have now expanded their partnership with a large deployment of hundreds of LiveU field units across India and internationally. By standardising on LiveU technology, ANI is able to maintain consistent performance, rapid deployment and operational resilience – regardless of geography or network conditions.
LiveU's top of the line multi-cam LU800 unit forms a core part of ANI's live production infrastructure. Designed for live news, sports and other dynamic coverage, the LU800 handles up to four high-res, frame-synced feeds from a single portable unit. With native 5G connectivity and IP bonding, the LU800 supports resilient, low‑latency transmission in either urban or remote locations.
Using LiveU's mobile app, LU‑Smart, the ANI team complements the coverage using their smartphones as events unfold. A mobile journalist can capture and contribute live HD news, bonding internal Wi-Fi and cellular connections to reach best-possible video quality and resiliency.
The shift toward centralised production workflows has also enabled ANI to simplify their operations and improve deployment efficiency. They can shorten time‑to‑air while maintaining the reliability and flexibility required for national and international live newsgathering.
