The Imaginarium Studios has appointed Maeve Russell, Head of Production, as the team starts the summer shooting schedule with a slate of new Games, Film, Music and TV projects.

The Imaginarium Studios is pleased to announce the appointment of Head of Production, Maeve Russell. She will report to CEO Matt Brown and take up the post immediately.

Commenting on the appointment CEO Matt Brown said, "As we embark on our busy summer shooting schedule, and a slate of exciting new projects, I know that the team will be in good hands under Maeve's leadership. The team achieves exceptional results and delivers at the highest level, continuing to push the boundaries in performance capture and virtual production. I'm delighted to welcome Maeve to the team and I know we'll all benefit from her experience."

Working out of company facilities at Pinewood Studios as well as Cinesite's offices in central London, Maeve's immediate focus will be on delivering production leadership, managing multiple shoots across all key project areas of Games, Film, Music and TV.

Maeve joins from Beyond Capture in Canada where she was Vice President, having previously worked her way up the ranks from a Production Coordinator through to Head of Production before being appointed VP. She has worked across a range of genres, from blockbuster movies, high-end episodic shows and tentpole games bringing knowledge of the international landscape from this role, based in Vancouver.

Maeve started out in production at Web Summit, producing tech conferences around the world, and then migrated into the film and TV as a Production Assistant working on shows such as Supergirl and the Babysitter's Club. Recent productions under her leadership include Resident Evil 4, New Tales from the Borderlands, and Hogwarts Legacy to name a few.

Commenting on her appointment Maeve said, "I'm so excited about joining the team. They are a super-talented bunch with a true focus on producing the best performances possible. There is a genuinely good vibe about the studio. It feels like an exciting time to be part of it. Working hard with nice people, creating great work – you can't ask for anything more."

Imaginarium Studios was formed in 2012 by actor and director Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes and Star Wars franchises) as a stand-alone facility focused on performance-led Capture and Virtual Production services. Andy's revolutionary approach to performance capture has created numerous innovations and new methods that have changed the industry and the company continues to push the boundaries of what is possible. 

It was announced in June that the company had opened a third capture volume within the SIDE Studio 1 booth in central London. Recent credits include Napoleon (Sony Pictures Entertainment) Alan Wake II (Remedy) Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty (CD Projekt Red), Damsel (Netflix), as well as upcoming release Unkown 9 ; Awakening (Bandai Namco).
