Mediaproxy LogServer

mediaproxy.com

Category QC QA Monitoring

Mediaproxy LogServer records and stores multiple feeds of live video and audio, together with the accompanying metadata. All this can be compared to As Run logs, which detail what has been transmitted from a playout system on to a channel - or channels - over a specified period of time. Through this comparison, the broadcaster and its regulatory authority can see if transmissions complied with standards and where any problems or failures occurred.

The system can also log and monitor live program output for compliance purposes, employing the concept of 'monitoring by exception'. Mediaproxy is a pioneer of this more efficient and effective way of monitoring multiple TV outputs, which allows operators to only examine the output of a channel when a problem is identified. When a fault is detected, the channel in question is brought up on screen and isolated. LogServer, working in conjunction with Mediaproxy's Monwall multiviewer, has the analytical tools and displays that allow operators to then intervene and deal with the problem.

LogServer is able to monitor both linear broadcast TV and OTT services in a wide variety of formats, including 4K, HD, IP, SDI, SMPTE2022-6, ST2110 HLS, MPEG-DASH and NDI.
