MSI’s Creator Z16P laptop is now built on 12th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs, with fast network connectivity, updated I/O ports and efficient CPU/GPU cooling.
MSI’s Creator Z16P laptops are now built on the most recent 12th Gen Intel Core i9 processors with up to 14 cores, recording 45% greater performance than the previous generation i7 processor. Also rated among the NVIDIA Studio laptops, they are equipped with GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs recording up to twice the rendering performance and graphics memory of the 20 Series, editing up to 8K HDR RAW video and handling large 3D models.
The laptop’s True Pixel Display has a QHD+ resolution of 2560 X 1600 and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. MSI Creator displays are factory-calibrated per-unit with True Color Technology, achieving Delta-E < 2 levels of colour accuracy, and are also Calman verified. This means they adhere to the Portrait Displays certification program, using Calman software to evaluate colour temperature, gamma curve and Delta E, and determine if a display meets the criteria for post-production editing and review.
Compatible with the MSI Pen, the displays support MPP2.0 (Microsoft Pen Protocol), USB-C charging and 4,096 levels of pressure. The 16:10 aspect ratio allows a margin of extra workspace for creative work, compared to a 16:9 screen.
Meta Ready
MSI says its Creator laptops are Meta Ready, that is, ready for the Metaverse, a world of virtual experiences that depend on augmented reality, virtual reality and AI. To make these experiences come to life, consumers and creators need hardware capable of rendering high-resolution graphics in real-time, and fast internet connectivity with low latency. A convincing virtual environment requires generating many real and simulated elements, rendering the elements in real-time based on 3D sensor data, and compelling audio.
Developing and securing such experiences requires powerful computers. As well as the multi-core Intel Core processors and GeForce RTX GPUs, MSI advises a minimum of 8GB VRAM, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, fast network connectivity, I/O ports including HDMI, Thunderbolt and USB Type-C and efficient CPU/GPU heat dissipation.
Staying Cool
MSI’s new Vapor Chamber Cooler design gives the Creator Z16P a larger heat capacity, which reduces the noise and temperature and keeps performance stable while using demanding software. Overall, the laptops have 76% more cooling area and a 2°C lower surface temperature compared to laptops built with the 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor.
For mobility, the Creator Z16P has a 90Whr long-lasting, fast-charging battery inside a 19mm metal chassis built with a full set of high-performance I/O ports. These include Thunderbolt 4 supporting up to 40Gbps bandwidth with daisy chain capabilities, DC-in, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C/DP and an audio combo jack. An SD Express high speed card reader can transfer high-quality video at speed.
Equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, accessing channels in the 6GHz band, the Z16P delivers fast internet connectivity and keeps the network stable in crowded environments. It has four stereo speakers and a Dynaudio and DTS sound system. The laptop comes in a Lunar Gray CNC unibody chassis, finished to change ts surface appearance depending on the angle of the light.
MSI Center Pro optimisation software is available to users to adjust system modes and resources to suit many different applications and requirements.
