Avid Huddle software-as-a-service gives distributed post-production teams the ability to collaborate and hold content review and approval sessions, without leaving Media Composer.
Avid Huddle is another software-as-a-service that gives distributed post-production teams the ability to collaborate and hold content review and approval sessions. In a hybrid off- and on-premises work environment, editors using Media Composer | Ultimate, Media Composer | Enterprise or Avid | Edit On Demand can now share high-quality media during a live Microsoft Teams meeting. Remote reviewers from multiple locations can view, discuss and comment together in real time, from anywhere, as if they were working in the same room.
Avid VP, Market Solutions, Tanya O’Connor said, “Collaborating to review video content during post production is challenging when the creative team’s members do not work together. Avid Huddle helps jump this barrier. Furthermore, remote over-the-shoulder content review with any production stakeholder can also be achieved through Teams, one of most widely available collaboration apps.”
Editors with active Media Composer | Ultimate, Enterprise or Avid | Edit On Demand subscriptions can add the Avid Huddle app. This allows them to initiate collaborative review sessions on demand, without leaving Media Composer. Participants, including producers, clients and other reviewers, can review high-resolution video content, and give immediate feedback to editors by virtually adding time-stamped comments and annotations.
Meanwhile, throughout their discussions, the live session is secure and the content protected. Avid Huddle utilises SRT, a secure, open-source protocol that applies end-to-end 128/256-bit AES encryption.
Avid Huddle replaces the usual process of sending content to multiple stakeholders and compiling their input separately. A multi-tenant, cloud-native service that scales as production demands, Avid Huddle will be available as a monthly or annual subscription, allowing users to scale up or down as required but only pay for what they need, when it is needed. Only the host needs to have an Avid Huddle subscription – participants can join sessions through Teams. www.avid.com
