DNEG has hired multiple Oscar and BAFTA-winner Guillaume Rocheron as VFX Supervisor, bringing 20 years of VFX experience from Nope to 1917 to Ghost in the Shell.
DNEG has appointed multiple Oscar and BAFTA-winner Guillaume Rocheron as Visual Effects Supervisor. With over 20 years of industry experience, Guillaume joins DNEG based at the company’s Los Angeles studio.
Guillaume’s list of Production VFX Supervisor credits includes Jordan Peele’s sci-fi thriller Nope, war film 1917 with Sam Mendes, Michael Dougherty’s monster movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and sci-fi techno-thriller Ghost in the Shell by Rupert Sanders. He has most recently overseen the visual effects work for Alejandro G Iñárritu’s Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, due for release on Netflix on 16 December 2022.
In 2020, Guillaume was honoured with an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award for his work on 1917, for which Guillaume and his teams created long, seamless shots that maintained the illusion of a whole two hour movie that had been filmed in one continuous take. He had previously taken home an Academy Award, a BAFTA and a Visual Effects Society (VES) Award for his work on Ang Lee’s critically acclaimed Life of Pi.
