ATEME has integrated Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos immersive audio into TITAN Live, making it the first transcoder on the market to encode and deliver both experiences natively. Content providers and redistributors can make a new, immersive viewing and audio experience available to viewers by combining ATEME’s and Dolby’s developments in sight and sound.
TITAN Live distribution software handles the functionality of an encoder, transcoder, multiplexer, statmux, packager and origin, as well as compression. It includes a comprehensive user interface, management system and set of APIs so that it can integrate into nearly any distribution system.
The integration of Dolby Vision’s picture quality into TITAN Live will bring extreme brightness, contrast, colour and detail to video. With Dolby Atmos, audiences can hear an immersive listening experience through audio that will draw them closer to the story.
With TITAN Live’s new support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, ATEME’s customers can lower their cost and complexity of production and distribution. The integration is also compatible with cloud systems. It supports both Dolby AC-4 and Dolby Audio delivery formats, such as Dolby Digital Plus, enhancing player interoperability when delivering Dolby Atmos content.
ATEME and Dolby have worked together on several major world events over recent years, such as top-ranking tennis tournaments and football matches.
Jean-Christophe Morizur, Senior Director of Pro Products & Solutions at Dolby Laboratories said, “ATEME TITAN’s integration of Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and our Dolby audio codec results in a combined system that directly delivers live events in Dolby. Operators such as leading sport broadcasters or streaming providers will gain the ability to deliver memorable viewing experiences to their audiences with Dolby and ATEME’s tools.” www.ateme.com
