New V4.5 software for PHABRIX Qx series rasterizers extends their ST 2110 NMOS tools, adds a PCAP utility option for IP packet capture and an option to detect and analyse 444 EUHD video.
The Qx interface uses virtual network computing (VNC) to deliver 16 simultaneous instrument windows over a remote network.
New V4.5 software for the PHABRIX Qx and QxL hybrid IP/SDI, 4K/UHD and HDR/WCG rasterizers extends and improves the Qx Series’ ST 2110 NMOS tools, adding generation and transmission capabilities for the QxL. Both the Qx and QxL have upgraded configuration controls, NMOS node status overviews and access to an IS-05 JSON tree view.
The rasterizers also have an optional PCAP utility for IP packet capture, and users can select to display either ATC-LTC or ATC-VITC for mixed ANC timecode environments. The QxL now has the option to detect and analyse 444 Extended UHD (EUHD) video formats for LED wall and graphics card applications.
The Qx Series is available through two platforms, the Qx and QxL, both with a common look and feel. Their user interface and tools are designed for operational flexibility and straightforward migration from SDI to IP-based operation. The architecture is flexible enough to upgrade licenses in the field for SDI-UHD/4K, 2110-UHD/4K 48-60p RGB (EUHD), PCAP, HDR, AV test signal generation and also engineering grade data view and ANC packet inspection tools. A factory-fitted hardware option carries out RTE realtime SDI eye and jitter analysis with the further option of a complete set of tools for SDI-STRESS.
Operator level IP flow health and PTP monitoring is supplied with warnings and alarms.
The new AMWA NMOS tools add flexibility when integrating with an NMOS controller and associate network Topology. The NMOS receiver for Qx and QxL now produce much more detailed information on the state of the NMOS API to help users analyse and debug their NMOS interoperability. The QxL now includes an NMOS sender to use with the 2110-20/30/31/40 generator, which is comprehensive and includes support for 422 and 444 video formats in 2110-20.
The new EUHD option available on the QxL supports analysis and generation of UHD/4K YCbCr/RGB 444 formats in the range 47.95P – 60P. The QxL can now both generate and analyse 10 and 12-bit PsF formats in ST 2110.
A new, flexible 25G full line rate 4GB PCAP packet capture tool for QxL (10G line rate and 1GB PCAP for Qx) is available as a PCAP license. The tool has a flexible range of options for capturing live IP traffic on either a single or dual Media interface while in 2110 Mode. Remote operation is improved through the ability to operate screen capture and PCAP remotely while running virtual network computing (VNC).
Phillip Adams, CEO, PHABRIX, said, “V4.5 for the Qx and QxL adds significant new features in the test and measurement market. Our customers want business and operational flexibility to help them manage many different requirements as their systems fragment. There is no one-size-fits-all. With IP, audio, QC and engineering data toolsets as standard, and the flexibility to apply a range of licenses, the Qx Series continues to evolve to meet the needs of the market and extend the value of customers’ investment.” www.phabrix.com
