Extio 3’s expanded IP KVM Tile View feature helps customise remote workspaces by monitoring and controlling multiple systems simultaneously across varied full HD and 4K layouts.
Matrox Video has expanded the display layout options and Full HD display support with its Extio 3 IP KVM extenders’ Tile View feature, opening up new remote workspace configurations. Available via the most recent Extio 3 software release, Tile View now facilitates monitoring and control on either a Full HD or 4K monitor.
Visual Efficiency
Users can display up to four systems per screen, simultaneously across a variety of layouts. Moreover, control room operators working in a dual-monitor workspace connected to a single Extio 3 receiver appliance can visualise information from up to eight systems, switch between multiple layouts and control additional systems over IP.
The Tile View feature, now available on both 4K and FHD displays, aggregates video sources from different systems and allows users to monitor them on the same display while controlling them with a single keyboard and mouse. Users can select from various layouts to best match their workflow. Compatible with a standard one Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) networking infrastructure, Extio 3 enables both on-site and off-site users to control multiple systems, centralised through a server room, over LAN, WAN and internet.
KVM-over-IP Security
Extio 3 comes with security features for IP KVMs, including AES encryption of audio, video and USB signals, plus user authentication, safe firmware updates and an IPSec VPN client in the receiver appliance for secure remote operations over internet.
“The demand to expand the capabilities of the Matrox Extio 3 Tile View feature set is a testament to how much businesses and organisations value an efficient IP KVM extension and switching system – as well as a re-imagined operator workspace,” said Caroline Injoyan, business development manager at Matrox Video. “With a KVM-over-IP network based on Extio, users can intelligently layout and process all data, video and information relevant to their operation to deliver the best possible outcome.”
The latest Tile View version is available as a free Extio 3 firmware and Extio Central Manager software upgrade on the Matrox website.
Extio 3 IP KVM extenders will be shown at the following 2022 events -- NAB 23-27 April, ISE 10-13 May and InfoComm 8-10 June -- in live demonstrations of how Tile View-based workspaces enable operators, knowledge workers and other staff to multi-task, collaborate and manage operations more easily and efficiently. www.matrox.com
