Dalet’s new Information Security Officer Jerome Athias secured ISO/IEC 27001 certification and set a Zero Trust framework across its cloud-native products and services in 2022.
Dalet has secured ISO/IEC 27001 certification and is implementing a Zero Trust security framework across its cloud-native products. As Dalet customers continue to shift from on-premise to hybrid and cloud-based work scenarios, security remains one of the most critical components of their transition.
Leading the company’s security strategy is Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Jerome Athias. Recently appointed at Dalet, Jerome is an IT and cyber security expert with more than 20 years of experience, including contributions to data protection standards. He has helped many companies upgrade their security position – while they cannot put clients’ media assets at risk, they also need to expand their access rights to more players and collaborators in order to remain competitive. Zero Trust supports a balance between the two.
“My first act as Dalet’s CISO was to secure the company's ISO/IEC 27001 certification. It testifies not only to our experience in securing clients in the past, but our commitment to doing so in the hyper-connected world of today and tomorrow,” said Jerome. “Today, we're proud of our ISO/IEC 27001 and DPP Security Marks certifications, and continue to develop and improve an internal workflow called Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC), aiming to limit vulnerabilities in our systems.”
The company’s recent ISO/IEC 27001 certification verifies Dalet’s approach to managing information security addressing people, processes and systems. Dalet maintains that media companies are now collaborating and extending their reach more widely. People are also connecting across more platforms, services and networks, which makes securing content, broadcast data and streaming data an ongoing task.
Under a Zero Trust framework, all users, whether in or outside the organisation’s network, need to be authenticated, authorised and continuously validated for security before being granted or keeping access to applications and data. Dalet is implementing a Zero Trust approach to security for all of its products and services, intended to assure users that every input or connection request complies with internal security policies that require them to run on reputable platforms or that authorised agents are using them.
