TAG QC Station redefines video quality control by merging monitoring, multiviewing, and real-time QC analysis into a single, software-based solution. Traditionally, ensuring signal integrity required a combination of hardware scopes and standalone QC systems, tools that operated in isolation and slowed response times. QC Station eliminates that complexity by embedding all essential QC functionalities directly into TAG’s multiviewer mosaic, enabling operators to monitor, analyze, and act instantly within the same interface.
The latest release of QC Station introduces enhanced HDR/SDR advanced color analysis, providing real-time visualization of luminance and chrominance through integrated waveforms, histograms, and vectorscopes. Operators gain instant, in-context insight into color accuracy, brightness levels, and compliance across multiple feeds, allowing them to detect mismatches or deviations before they reach audiences.
A preview of the new TAG Test Pattern represents another important improvement in QC Station. This mathematically generated reference signal, available in SDR, HLG, and PQ formats, verifies workflows from start to finish. Engineers can check encoder performance, LUT accuracy, and color fidelity, while also identifying issues such as clipping, incorrect bit depth, or subtle color shifts that might not be noticeable through standard video inspection. Shown directly within the mosaic alongside waveform and vectorscope overlays, this new feature provides an unmatched level of precision and confidence in visual analysis.
QC Station also integrates QC Elements that deliver continuous insight into video, audio, and transport quality within mosaic tiles, offering operators immediate feedback on signal health and compliance. Fully software-defined, it scales seamlessly across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments and supports both compressed and uncompressed formats.
