Playout

Cinegy has reinvented ingest and asset management functionality with the latest iteration of its Capture solution, offering support for all workflow scenarios, including a fully cloud-hosted architecture. Enabling full remote working capability, the solution also provides comprehensive ingest control and capture engine management via a regular internet connection, allowing operators access from any location.

The latest version of Capture (version 21.4) fully supports SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol, including realtime preview of content over the public internet. To cope with multiple simultaneous feeds, Capture Manager can easily handle up to 99 simultaneous capture engines. Like all Cinergy products, Capture is optimised to be 8K-ready and deployed in the cloud. Users can select scaling methods between resolutions to ensure the right balance of performance/processor load and quality, for individual transfers.

Security is paramount, especially in remote working scenarios, and Capture offers features such as authentication and security protocol support as well as sophisticated levels of control from anywhere, regardless of whether the hardware is located in the machine room on-premise or in the cloud.

This new version of Capture will be matched by new software releases in the coming months for the playout element Air Pro, which features integrated subtitling and a new version of the user interface, Air Control, built using HTML5 and a REST API.
