The Black Box Emerald ZeroU transmitter delivers industry leading KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) performance while consuming no rack space, and the recent addition of DisplayPort support makes this compact device an ideal and convenient solution for OB vans, broadcast server rooms, control rooms, and other environments with space and weight constraints.Fitting neatly at the back of the computer and weighing just 325 grams (0.78 lbs.), the ZeroU DP transmitter works with all Emerald receivers to enable seamless remote desktop connectivity over a TCP/IP network to physical PCs, servers, and video sources, as well as virtual desktops hosted on servers or in the cloud.
This powerful KVM solution delivers the high-definition video quality — visually lossless DisplayPort (DP) video up to 1920 x 1200 — essential for modern broadcast and production applications. The device transmits USB and analog stereo-audio along with DisplayPort signals, giving users an exchanged user experience from a direct connection Y. The ZeroU DP transmitter draws power over its USB interface, eliminating the need for an external power supply and reducing cabling for further space and cost savings. The ZeroU device can function as a basic point-to-point extender supporting simple, space-saving remote desktop connectivity. Alternatively, it can be used with other types of Emerald devices in a KVM matrix switching setup that addresses all the unique connectivity requirements of a particular facility or application.
